Causes of Brain Injury

There are two main ways brain injury can occur ranging dangerous (tumors, neurological disorders, and substance and alcohol abuse) or outside occur (infection, lack of oxygen, trauma, and stroke). Congenital brain injury (ABI) is damage to the brains suffered after birth.

The main causes of ABI are disease (AIDS, Alzheimer’s disease, cancer, Parkinson’s or MS), alcohol or drugs, prolonged lack of oxygen, physical trauma (such as those suffered in a car accident or sport fighting) and stroke (rupture of blood vessels causing tissue damage brains).

Acquired brain injury affects the patient in several ways. Many patients experience mental and physical fatigue, visual disturbances and a slowing of mental processes such as problem solving or planning. Personality and behavior modification may also be displayed, with some people even a menace to society. (more…)

Get Some Exercise for Your Body

Once you have been diagnosed with diabetes, the first thing you here from your doctor to “get to practice.” Immediately everyone jumped on the bandwagon and show how important it is to “get to exercise.” I know, I have type 2 diabetes, but I’ve learned how to combat the disease, and exercise is an important part of that control. At first you think how could I engage in, maybe this mindset, and lack of exercise, leading to the disease. You can also overweight, a major contribution to the disease, and feelings of fear, how could I exercise.

While you might think “that’s easier said than done”, you may be surprised to exercises that do not necessarily learn about “no pain – no gain”. Regular physical activity may be a pleasant part of your day with a long term benefit your diabetes and your overall health has become. (more…)
